Yesterday Apple announced their replacement for the 6th Generation iPad, the 7th Generation iPad! Will it fit?
They are due to start shipping in early October but we know many of our customers will want to understand how we will support them, see below for more details.
The new iPad uses a larger 10.2" screen that retains the same 3:2 aspect ratio as the rest of the iPad line. External dimensions are very similar to the iPad Air 10.5" with the only variance being a bit thicker by comparison (@1mm).
It will fit within our H head enclosures configured to support the iPad Air 10.5" although some area around the iPad's bezel will likely be exposed due to the larger screen opening.
The buttons and rear camera location look to be similar to the current 9.7" model but we won't be able to confirm this until our unit arrives.
Once we receive our unit we will update this with fit information for the screen, home button, power buttons, volume button and rear camera.
